Last year, the Russian Supreme Court declared the "international LGBT movement" an extremist organization.

Due to the threat of imprisonment and persecution in Russia, LGBT+ activists are forced to seek international protection in democratic countries. However, in Europe, activists face challenges in having their asylum applications considered.
For example, the Finnish Immigration Service (Migri) denies asylum to LGBT+ individuals, relying on outdated information about Russia. Migri does not take into account the new anti-LGBT laws, human rights violations, and the high levels of violence against LGBT+ people in Russia. After asylum is denied, deportation to Russia is expected, thus violating the Geneva Convention.
📍Sign the petition demanding that the Finnish Immigration Service update its information on the threats faced by LGBT+ people in Russia.
