As part of the book club “Literary Salon”, we will discuss with the author his novel, which tells the story of a zombie apocalypse in Moscow after an infected mouse escapes from the Institute of Functional Immortality, where a remedy to prolong Putin’s life is being developed.
In 2024, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia demanded that Ivan Filippov’s novel “The Mouse” be removed from sale, considering the book a “threat to public safety”. In Finland, however, the novel can be found, for example, in the Helmet libraries, in our “Literary Salon”, or purchased in electronic and print versions on the Freedom Letters publishing website.
The event will take place at the cultural space Albatross, address: Kanavaranta 7 F (entrance to the right of the ship’s propeller, second floor).
Come join us to discuss the novel, get an autograph, and talk about cinema and propaganda over a cup of tea or coffee with Ivan Filippov!
Free entry, with prior registration via the link: https://www.foredi.fi/events-1/vstrecha-s-issledovatelem-propagandy-i-avtorom-romana-mysh-ivanom-filippovym
The event will be held in Russian.
