On 28 November at 18:00, we invite you to a film screening of the stage metaphor “Boris”

On the big screen we will watch a production directed by Dmitry Krymov, inspired by Alexander Pushkin’s historical drama “Boris Godunov.”

The performance premiered in 2019, was removed from the repertoire in March 2022, and by September 2022 all Krymov’s works were banned from Moscow theatres by order of the city’s Department of Culture.

The play draws parallels between today’s Russian style of governance and its imperial past, revealing the myths on which Russian identity is built.

The main role is performed by the remarkable Russian actor Timofey Tribuntsev. On the same evening we will also show several short films featuring him – sharp, ironic, and full of life.

English subtitles will be available, so feel free to invite your English-speaking friends.

Bring your own drinks and snacks if you wish – we will provide a big screen and a warm, friendly atmosphere. Dishes, a kettle, coffee maker, and microwave are available on site.

📍 Venue: Cultural space Albatross, Kanavaranta 7 F (Google Maps link)(Entrance on the right, next to the ship’s propeller, 2nd floor.)

Free entry.
