Helsinki Pride 2026

🏳️‍🌈 Initiative FoReDi supports our friends from Queer Asylum: Finland and invites everyone to join their group at Helsinki Pride 2026.

This year, the group is dedicated to people from Russia, Kazakhstan, and other countries where queer identities are persecuted by both the state and society. Many are forced to hide who they are, wear masks, and live according to rules imposed on them in order to avoid discrimination, violence, and persecution.

During Pride, participants in the performance will demonstrate what it feels like to live in a society where you cannot be yourself. It is a reminder that the rights to safety, dignity, and love belong to everyone.

Initiative FoReDi stands for human rights, the right to asylum, and the protection of people facing persecution because of their identity. We believe that censorship, discrimination, and all forms of persecution are unacceptable.

📍 Meeting point: June 27 at 10:45 AM, Senate Square, Helsinki.

You can join either as a performance participant or as a supporter.

If you would like to participate in the performance, please wear plain black, white, or gray clothing without logos or text. Participation is open to both queer people and allies.
