The parade columns will start from Hakaniementori and march to Kansalaistori, where the event will conclude with a concert.
One of the columns (link) will march in support of those who fled Russia due to persecution, violence, forced mobilization, and other humanitarian reasons. We aim to raise awareness about the challenges faced by Russian asylum seekers and urge the Finnish government: don’t turn your back on those trying to save their lives!
📍 May 1st at 11:00 AM — come and support the march. We'll meet at Hakaniementori (map). If you get lost, message the column coordinator Alex (Telegram).
✍️ Tomorrow you can also sign a petition in support of Seda Suleymanova (link), a young Chechen woman who fled threats from her family. She was abducted and forcibly returned to Chechnya, and all contact with her has been lost since 2023.
