Today in the city of Pori, as part of Finland’s largest socio-political festival SuomiAreena, Yulia Navalnaya gave a public speech

Despite the pouring rain and it being a weekday, more than 1,000 people gathered at the town hall square to hear her speak.

Here are some quotes from Yulia’s speech in Pori:

"There is no quick and easy way to remove Putin — if there were, it would already have been used. But all dictatorships fall sooner or later. There are tens of millions of Russians who want to see a free, democratic Russia. My colleagues and I are fighting for them."
"In January 1917, Pehr Evind Svinhufvud was in exile in Siberia, and Gustaf Mannerheim was a general in the Tsar's army. Just a year later, Svinhufvud became the first head of state of independent Finland, and Mannerheim its commander-in-chief. Who would have believed that?"

Yulia Navalnaya’s international speeches are an important and necessary effort to share with the global audience what is happening in Russia, to highlight the plight of political prisoners, and to speak for Russians forced into exile.

For example, our group of Russian-speaking activists, who came from across Finland to support Yulia Navalnaya, caught the attention of the country’s largest Swedish-language newspaper — Hufvudstadsbladet: https://www.hbl.fi/2025-06-24/julia-navalnaja-finland-visar-att-ryssland-kan-bli-demokratiskt/
