The Initiative FoReDi team warmly wishes all our friends a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We wish peace and love to all of us. Strength to those who remain in Russia to endure the current regime, and strength and success in integration to those who were forced to leave their homeland. May the new year bring wisdom to world leaders and see dictatorships fall. May wars end, borders open for everyone, and nations live in harmony, support one another, and freely share knowledge.

In January 2026, we have planned a film screening with a discussion of the work of photographer Sergei Prokudin-Gorsky, who captured Russia and Finland in his images; a lecture on the principles of classical liberalism; a meeting to play board games inspired by the series Doctor Who, and an introduction to the new board game Scientific Apocalypse, created by science popularizer Alexander Panchin. And most importantly, we will begin the construction of the memorial to Alexei Navalny, which will be inaugurated in early summer in Helsinki.
