Two years ago, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation declared the “international public LGBT movement” an extremist organization — thereby putting a large part of Russian society under the threat of criminal prosecution and changing the lives of LGBTQ+ people by depriving them of safety, support, and visibility.
On 30 November, events will take place in Helsinki under the slogan “Love is not extremism”, organized by Queer Asylum: FI (qa-finland.yhdistysavain.fi).
📍 13:00–14:00 — Rally in support of LGBTQ+ people in front of the Russian Embassy in Helsinki.
Venue: Tehtaankatu 1 B (Google Maps link)
📍 15:00–16:30 — Panel discussion: “Two years after the ban: Life of the community in Russia and in exile”with the participation of Finnish human rights associations Queer Asylum: FI, Tema ry, and Initiative FoReDi ry.
Venue: Cultural space Albatross, Kanavaranta 7 F (Google Maps link)
Come and express your disagreement with the repressive Russian laws and show the world that love is not extremism!
