April 24 at 18:00 in Espoo – Lecture “Problems of Contemporary Saint Petersburg”
What is happening in Saint Petersburg today?
How do people live under censorship, pressure, and war?
What challenges do schools, journalists, environmentalists, and ordinary citizens face?
At the invitation of the Espoo branch of the Finland–Russia Society, former municipal deputy and journalist Nikita Kirillov — who received political asylum in Finland — will speak about how Saint Petersburg has changed in recent years: from elections to the destruction of parks, from volunteering to repression.
The lecture will be especially interesting for those who are interested in Russia but have not been able to visit due to closed borders and the political situation.
The talk will be held in Russian with consecutive interpretation into Finnish.
📍 Address: Vallikuja 5, Espoo (Google Maps) (Entrance is on the left side of the building when facing the front.)
