Already tomorrow, on September 4, a lecture will take place in Helsinki: "After the Tyrant. How the Soviet regime survived Stalin’s death".
The lecture will be given by political scientist Ekaterina Schulmann and journalist Maxim Kurnikov. They will talk about how the state structure changed after the dictator’s death and how his former subordinates began to behave, while you will have the chance to reflect on the future by drawing parallels between history and the present.
At the lecture, you will also have a great opportunity to sign a postcard or write a letter to Russian political prisoners. Kira, a member of the Initiative FoReDi team and founder of the project “Prisoners of Conscience”, will help you with this. Come to the lecture in advance, look for the table with political prisoners’ cards, and support the victims of the Russian regime.
📍 We are waiting for you at SYK Juhlasali from 18:00, the lecture starts at 19:00.
