Exhibition “The Kalevala behind bars”

From February 2 to March 20, an exhibition by Russian artist and political prisoner Anastasia Dyudyaeva will take place in Helsinki.

The aim of the exhibition is to inform Finnish audiences about human rights violations in Russia and the persecution of activism and artistic expression. The exhibition features Anastasia Dyudyaeva’s works inspired by the Kalevala, as February marks the Kalevala Day.

Throughout the exhibition, visitors will be able to write their impressions of the exhibition or messages of support for Anastasia in any language and place a postcard in a special box. All letters will be delivered to Anastasia in a Russian prison. In addition, a separate letter-writing day will be organized in support of Ukrainian prisoners who are being illegally held in Russian prisons. The date will be announced in advance.

We look forward to welcoming you to the exhibition:

Monday to Saturday: 11:00–17:00

Sunday: 12:00–17:00

📍 Kahvila Lähde

Lapinlahdenpolku 8, Helsinki

This exhibition is an act of solidarity and support for Anastasia in her struggle for peace, justice, and human dignity.
